Invacare Azalea Minor
The new-release Rea Azalea Minor from Invacare is a great choice for smaller or younger users (up to 75kg) looking for a great tilt and recline wheelchair. The comfortable seating system allows the user to alter the seat position, ensuring maximum comfort at all times. The Azalea offers 25 degrees seat tilt and a 30 degrees backrest recline. Both tilt and recline can be easily adjusted by the assistant and locked in position if required. The backrest has a biomechanical positioning hinge, which follows the user's natural back movement when adjusting the backrest angle. Combined with the seat-tilt function, the DSS (Dual Stability System) helps to prevent Decubitus (pressure sores) thanks to its non-friction re-body positioning. This means that when the seat tilts, it moves downwards and forwards, retaining stability despite the backwards leaning position; the seat simply slides in-between the chassis.
Premium comfort is ensured with the standard pressure-relieving Flo-Shape seat cushion, featuring Dartex upholstery designed for prolonged seating and offering optimal weight distribution to prevent pressure build-up. The top of the Flo-shape cushion is contoured for promoting stable seat posture. The Flex 3 backrest is multi adjustable in height, width and shape for different body forms.
Other standard features include: adjustable seat width 13"-17" (34-44cm), adjustable seat depth (38cm-45cm), adjustable height removable padded armrests, elevating detachable leg rests with angle adjustable footplates, removable fully-adjustable three part headrest, seatbelt, adjustable wheelbase and frame depth and quick release rear wheels. The Azalea Minor has been crash tested (ISO7176-19) and offers a reduced weight capacity up to 75kg.
